The Bat is an uncommon pet in Grow a Garden. It came out on October 11, 2025 as part of the Halloween Event and the Ghoul Garden Update. It hatched from the Spooky Egg with a 45% chance, which made it the most common pet from that egg. The Spooky Egg is no longer obtainable, so the Bat is now a limited pet.
The Bat has a real passive trait that helps your garden. It gives Spooky plants within about 32 studs a variant chance bonus of about 0.7x. This is a bonus, not a debuff. If you grow Spooky plants, the Bat makes better variants more likely to appear near it.
The Bat has a fun spooky look. It has a short pink nose, large ears with pink inner ears, dark brown wings, black skin membrane, and very small legs. It has a hunger stat of 5,000.
