Description

The Chicken Zombie is a mythical pet in the Roblox game Grow a Garden. It shows a zombie in a straw hat and blue overalls riding a chicken. The design is based on the Chicken Jockey from Minecraft.

This pet has two passive traits. Every 29 minutes, it has about a 21% chance to make a nearby fruit Zombified. The Zombified mutation gives that plant a 25x value boost. The pet also makes all eggs hatch 10.41% faster. Both traits work while you play and while you are offline.

The Chicken Zombie is rare. It was only given out during special events, like the Admin Abuse War on August 23, 2025 and a Double Admin Abuse event on October 4, 2025. It cannot be earned through normal play, so many players never got one.

The Zombified mutation can also lead to bigger rewards. If a Zombified fruit gets the Infected mutation, the two combine into Plagued, which has a 102x multiplier. Add the Radioactive mutation to Plagued and you get Biohazard, with a 157x multiplier. This makes the Chicken Zombie a strong pick for growing high value crops.
