The Chubby Chipmunk is a rare pet in Grow a Garden. It came from the Chubby Chipmunk Event on October 4, 2025, where players could claim one for free. Now that the event is over, this pet is hard to find.
The Chubby Chipmunk has a special ability. It eats a fruit in your garden and spawns an acorn somewhere on the map. Picking up the acorn gives you a random reward. The pet skips favorited fruits and single harvest fruits, so your best crops stay safe. Since the event ended, the pet no longer gains weight from eating, but it still spawns acorns with rewards.
This pet stands out from every other pet in the game. It is the only pet that does not gain weight as it ages. The Mimic Octopus cannot copy its ability, and pets like the Peacock cannot speed up its cooldown. Only the Red Squirrel can advance its ability.
The Chubby Chipmunk looks like a regular Chipmunk but gets bigger with chubby cheeks and a large belly as its weight goes up. It comes in many colors, including red, brown, black, grey, green, purple, white, and pink.
