Description

The Cockatrice is a divine pet in Grow a Garden. It came out on August 30, 2025, in the first half of the Fairy Event. It hatches from an Enchanted Egg with a 1% chance, so it is a rare pet to own.

This pet looks like a brown rooster with green dragon wings, a green belly, and a spiked dragon tail. It has a yellow beak and a red flap on its head, just like the mythical Cockatrice.

The Cockatrice has two strong traits. Silver Screech makes it screech every 16:40 to 6:40 minutes. Fruits within 20 to 40 studs then have a 20 to 40% chance to turn Silver and a 1 to 3% chance to turn Gold. Venom Spit fires every 10:25 to 3:00 minutes at 5 to 10 fruits, eggs, or pets. Fruits get the Toxic mutation, eggs move ahead by 80 to 150 seconds, and pets gain 800 to 1500 XP.

It is one of only four pets that can lower egg cooldowns. It also has a hunger stat of 66,000. This makes the Cockatrice a great pick for mutations, faster eggs, and pet XP.
