The Dog is a Common tier pet in Grow a Garden. It was added in the Animal Update on May 3, 2025. This pet hatches from the Common Egg with a 33.33% chance. It is one of three pets found in that egg.

The Dog has a helpful digging ability. Every 60 seconds, it has a 5% chance to dig up a random seed from the Seed Shop. This gives players free seeds over time without spending Sheckles. The Dog has 1,000 hunger, so keep it fed to stay active.

The Dog is mostly white with brown ears and a brown spot over its left eye. It uses the same model as the Golden Lab. The Golden Lab is its enhanced variant from the same egg, with a 10% dig chance instead of 5%. The Dog, Golden Lab, Shiba Inu, and Bone Dog all share similar digging abilities.

This pet is a good pick for players who want a steady supply of seeds for their garden. It is easy to get and works on its own while you play. Add the Dog to your pet team and let it dig for you.
