The Gecko has one passive trait. Safari type plants near the Gecko get a 1.6x increased variant chance. This means plants close to it have a better shot at growing into a variant. Players who grow Safari plants can place the Gecko nearby to boost their odds.
In the event, the Gecko is bought from the Safari Shop for 50M. The shop only sells it after the 130B Safari Points milestone is reached. The Gecko is a limited-time pet. It can only be obtained while the Safari Harvest Event is active, so it may not be available in the game later.
The Gecko is a good pick for players who want more variant plants from their Safari crops. It is also a nice pet for anyone who missed the event or did not reach the milestone in time.
