Description
The New Year's Chimp is a limited mythical pet in Grow a Garden. It was added on December 27th, 2025 for the New Year's Event. It looks like a chimpanzee with gold New Year's glasses that say 2026 and a black party hat with a yellow border.
This pet has a passive trait called Primate Productivity. Every 7 minutes and 48 seconds, it grabs a random fruit from the garden and uses it for one of four random bonuses. It can give a random pet 2,000 XP. It can cut an egg's hatch time by 200 seconds. It can give the player Event Lanterns or Recall Wrenches. It can also try to apply the Clockwork mutation, but this bonus is bugged right now and fails with an error. The chimp will not take favorited fruits.
The New Year's Chimp hatches from the New Year's Egg or the Premium New Year's Egg, each with a 15% chance. It has 40,000 hunger.
