The Huge Woodpecker is a Rare pet in the Roblox game Grow a Garden. It came out on September 20, 2025, as part of the Fall Market Part 2 update. It looks like a real woodpecker. It has a mostly black body, a red crest, and grey feet, beak, and wing tips.
This pet has a passive trait called Woodpecking. From time to time, it flies to a Woody type plant and pecks at it. The peck gives that plant a chance to duplicate one of its fruits. The copied fruit keeps any mutations from the original fruit. Rarer crops have a lower chance to duplicate, so the pet stays balanced in the Rare tier.
The Woodpecker works best in gardens with many Woody type plants. More Woody plants mean more chances for extra fruit and bigger returns. It has a hunger stat of 5,000.
In the game, the Woodpecker is sold in the Fall Festival Pets shop for 400 million Sheckles. Players unlock it by triggering 15 Fall Blooms during the Fall Event. Getting it from Chicks Gold skips that grind and adds this fruit-copying pet to your garden.
