The Hummingbird is a rare pet in Grow a Garden. It was added on September 27, 2025 during the Seed Stages event. It comes from the Jungle Egg with a 30% hatch chance, which makes it the second most likely pet from that egg. It looks like a real hummingbird with a sapphire blue chin and a beak that fades from red to maroon.
The Hummingbird has a helpful passive ability. About every 58 seconds, it turns one random single-harvest plant into its seed form. It skips favorited plants and Evo plants, so your best crops stay safe. This makes it a great way to clear space in your garden without using Reclaimers.
This pet is also special for one big reason. Its ability is the only way to get Golden Egg seeds in the game. Keep in mind that when you replant those seeds, they will not have the Fortune mutation.
The Hummingbird has a hunger stat of 8,000. If you want an easy way to manage your garden and collect rare seeds, this pet is a smart pick.
