The New Year's Chimp is a Mythical pet from the Grow a Garden New Year's Event. It looks like a chimpanzee wearing gold "2026" glasses and a black party hat with a yellow border. It was added on December 27th, 2025, and can be hatched from the New Year's Egg or the Premium New Year's Egg. Both eggs give it a 15% hatch chance.
Its passive trait is called Primate Productivity. At Age 1, the chimp activates it every seven minutes. It grabs a random fruit from your garden, eats it, and gives you one of four random bonuses. It can apply the Clockwork Mutation to one of your fruits, which greatly raises its sale value. It can give 2,000 XP to a random active pet in your garden. It can give you some Event Lanterns or Recall Wrenches. It can also cut an egg's hatch time by 200 seconds.
The chimp will not eat favorited plants, so your best crops stay safe. It has 40,000 hunger and can reach age 100, or 102 with an age break. Players want this pet for its steady stream of free bonuses and its rare event look.
