The Nutcracker is a limited mythical pet in Grow a Garden. It came to the game on December 13, 2025 during the second part of the Christmas Harvest Event. It looks like a toy soldier with a red coat, blue pants, black shoes, and a black hat. It marches around your farm.
The Nutcracker has a special passive ability. Every so often, it cracks open a random Nutty type fruit and gives you a random Christmas reward. It skips fruit you have favorited. Nutty fruits include Acorn, Hazelnut, Pecan, Coconut, and more. Coconut works well because each tree grows about 15 fruits per harvest.
The rewards are worth it. The Nutcracker can add the Chilled, Snowy, or Ornamented mutation to a fruit. Ornamented is the rarest reward, and the Nutcracker is one of only three ways to get it in the game. It can also give gear like the Christmas Sprinkler, Reclaimer, Christmas Radar, Small Toy, or Medium Toy.
The Nutcracker hatches from the Christmas Egg or Premium Christmas Egg at an 18.5% chance in both. It is a strong pick for players who want rare mutations and free gear from their farm.
