The Pterodactyl is a rare pet in Grow a Garden on Roblox. It came from the Dinosaur Egg in the Prehistoric Update on July 5, 2025. It had only a 3 percent hatch chance, so it is one of the hardest dinosaur pets to find. The update is over, so players can no longer get it in the game.

This pet has a blue body, a light blue beak, and light blue legs. It flies around your farm and makes a squawking sound from time to time.

The Pterodactyl has two strong abilities. First, it flaps its wings and sends out wind. This gives the Windstruck mutation to a few nearby fruits. There is also a chance it adds the Twisted mutation. If a fruit gets both Windstruck and Twisted from the Pterodactyl, it gains the Tempestuous mutation. That gives the fruit a 19 times value bonus, which means much more money for you.

Second, the Pterodactyl boosts your jump height. This helps you move around your garden faster.
