Description
The Termite is a Common pet from the Grow a Garden Smithing Event. It looks like a small pest, but it has a job that no other pet does. Every once in a while, its ability lowers the age of one random pet on your farm by one level. It can only drop a pet by one level at a time, and pets that boost abilities do not change how it works.
Why would you want a pet that lowers levels? It has smart uses. Some missions ask for pets at a set level, and the Termite can help you hit that mark. It also pairs well with the Hydra. The Hydra stops using its ability after age 100. The Termite can lower the Hydra's level so its ability keeps firing. This trick also lets you use the Nutty mutation.
In the game, the Termite only comes from the Treasure Digging minigame, which you reach from the in-game shop. It has a 7.22% chance to show up as the featured reward while digging. Grab a Termite and put this handy pest to work on your farm.
