The Adamant sq shield is a square shield in Old School RuneScape. It is the third strongest square shield in the game. You need level 30 Defence to wear it. It works for free-to-play players too, so anyone can use it.

This shield gives solid protection in melee fights. It offers +24 Stab, +26 Slash, and +22 Crush defence. It also gives +24 Ranged defence, which helps against arrows and bolts. It has a -6 Magic attack bonus, so it is not a good pick for casting spells.

Players with level 78 Smithing can make this shield. It takes two adamant bars, an anvil, and a hammer. Making one gives 125 Smithing experience. The shield also drops from monsters like Cyclopes, Dark beasts, Ice giants, and Iron dragons. It can show up in the Crystal chest as well.

The Adamant sq shield is needed for some medium and hard emote clue steps in Treasure Trails. That makes it handy to keep in your bank. The shield is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs about 4 kg. It is a simple, low-cost way to boost defence at mid levels.
