The Air orb is a glowing glass orb from Old School RuneScape. It is made by casting the Charge Air Orb spell on the Obelisk of Air. The spell needs level 66 Magic, an unpowered orb, 30 air runes, and 3 cosmic runes. Each cast gives 76 Magic experience. The Air Obelisk sits in level 7 Wilderness, north of Edgeville, and players reach it through Edgeville Dungeon.
The main use for an air orb is crafting. Players with level 66 Crafting can use it on a battlestaff to make an air battlestaff. This gives 137.5 Crafting experience. Charging air orbs is also a task in the hard Wilderness Diary.
The orb is tradeable and can be sold on the Grand Exchange, where it is worth around 1,698 coins. It cannot be worn and does not stack, but it can be noted. It weighs 0.453 kg. Its examine text reads "A magic glowing orb."
Air orbs are a smart pick for players training Crafting or Magic. Charging them can give up to 39,900 Magic experience per hour along with profit. Buying orbs directly skips the risky trip into the Wilderness.
