Description
The Avantoe seed is a members-only seed in Old School RuneScape. Plant it in a herb patch to grow avantoe, a herb used in the Herblore skill. You need level 50 Farming to plant it. One seed fills a patch, and the plant takes 80 minutes to grow.
When the plant is done, you harvest grimy avantoe. Clean the grimy herbs to get avantoe, which players use to make potions. Each harvest gives at least 3 herbs, and often more. Planting gives 54.5 Farming XP, and each herb you pick gives 61.5 XP.
Compost helps you get more herbs. The patch starts with 3 harvest lives, and each tier of compost adds 1 more, up to 6 with ultracompost. Your Farming level also gives a chance to keep a harvest life when you pick a herb, so higher levels mean bigger yields. Note that gardeners will not watch herb patches, and a white lily will not stop disease.
Avantoe seeds are tradeable and stackable, and they weigh nothing. They are a solid pick for players who want to train Farming and stock up on herbs for Herblore potions.
