Big bones are a larger type of bones in Old School RuneScape. They are always dropped by big monsters like giants, ogres, trolls, and cyclopes. You can also find them in the Bone Yard in the Wilderness. Big bones are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to move and sell.

Big bones are a great way to train Prayer. Burying one gives 15 Prayer experience. Members can get much more experience by offering them in other ways. A gilded altar with two burners lit gives 52.5 experience per bone. The Ectofuntus gives 60 experience when the bones are turned into big bonemeal. The Chaos Temple in the Wilderness gives 105 experience on average, since there is a 50 percent chance the bone is not used up.

Big bones have other uses too. Each set of big bones and a law rune adds one teleport charge to the giantsoul amulet. They can also be blessed and broken into blessed bone shards for even more Prayer experience at the libation bowl.
