Description

The black battleaxe is a melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is stronger than the steel battleaxe but weaker than the mithril battleaxe. You only need 10 Attack to wield it, so it is a good pick for low level players who want a hard hitting weapon early on.

This axe gives a slash bonus of +20, a crush bonus of +15, and a strength bonus of +24. It attacks once every 3.6 seconds. You can use four combat styles with it. Chop and Block train slash, Hack trains slash with an aggressive style, and Smash uses crush. This mix lets you train Attack, Strength, or Defence with one weapon.

The black battleaxe is free to play, tradeable, and equipable. Like all black gear, it cannot be made with the Smithing skill. In the game, players can buy it at Brian's Battleaxe Bazaar in Port Sarim. It can also drop from Dark beasts or come as a reward from beginner and easy clue scrolls. Its examine text calls it "A vicious looking axe," and it lives up to that name in early game combat.
