Black claws are a fast two-handed melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. They are a set of fighting claws that need only level 10 Attack to wield. This makes them a solid choice for low level players who want quick hits in melee combat.

These claws have strong offensive stats for their level. They give +14 Slash, +10 Stab, and a +14 Strength bonus. They also add small defence bonuses of +4 Stab, +7 Slash, and +2 Crush. The Crush attack bonus is -4, so slash and stab attacks work best.

Black claws offer four combat styles. Chop and Slash use the slash attack type. Lunge uses stab and gives shared experience in Attack, Strength, and Defence. Block trains Defence. This lets players train the skills they want with one weapon.

Black claws cannot be made with the Smithing skill. They only come as a drop from monsters like the Giant Rock Crab, the King Sand Crab, and the Soldier in Burthorpe. That makes them harder to get on your own. The claws weigh about 0.9 kg and were released on 9 August 2004.
