The Black helm (h4) is a rare cosmetic helmet in Old School RuneScape. It is a reward from easy Treasure Trails, found in the easy reward casket at a rate of 1 in 1,404. It cannot be made with the Smithing skill, so clue scrolls are the only way to get one.
This helm needs 10 Defence to wear. It has the same defence bonuses as a black full helm, with +12 stab, +13 slash, +10 crush, and +12 ranged defence. Players wear it for its unique heraldic design, which makes it stand out from normal black armour.
