Description

The Black spear is a two-handed melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is a members-only item and needs just 10 Attack to wield. That low level makes it a solid pick for new accounts and low level builds.

The spear gives +15 stab and +15 slash attack bonuses, plus a +16 strength bonus. It attacks every 4 ticks, which is 2.4 seconds. Its combat styles are Lunge, Swipe, Pound, and Block. The three controlled styles give shared Attack, Strength, and Defence experience, so it works well for balanced training. Like most spears, it can be poisoned for extra damage.

The Black spear is rare in one way. There is no white spear, so it is one of the few black items with no white version. It also cannot be made with the Smithing skill. In game, it drops from vampyre Juvinates or comes from chests in the Shade Catacombs during the Shades of Mort'ton minigame.

The spear is tradeable and can be noted. It weighs about 2.3 kg. Grab a Black spear to train all three melee stats at once with one cheap weapon.
