Description

The Blighted anglerfish is a special food item in Old School RuneScape. It works like a normal anglerfish, but it can only be eaten in certain places. These places include the Wilderness, Ferox Enclave, the Mage Arena bank, PvP worlds, the Castle Wars lobby, and Clan Wars.

This fish is great for PvP because it can heal you above your maximum Hitpoints. With 99 Hitpoints, one blighted anglerfish heals 22, so you can reach up to 121 Hitpoints. The heal amount grows with your Hitpoints level. At level 50 to 59 it heals 11, and at level 80 to 89 it heals 16. The overheal does not work if you are already in combat in a PvP area.

Many players stock up on blighted anglerfish for Wilderness trips and PvP fights. The extra health gives you a bigger buffer against strong hits from other players.

The Blighted anglerfish is a members-only item. It is tradeable and noteable, but it does not stack and cannot be equipped. It weighs 0.4 kg and has item ID 24592. It was released on 23 April 2020.
