Description

The Calquat keg is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a keg made from a calquat fruit. Players make it by using a knife on the fruit. Calquat fruit grows on calquat trees, which need level 72 Farming to plant.

This keg is used in brewing. When a batch of ale or cider is done, players collect it from the barrel next to the fermenting vat. One Calquat keg holds four pints, the same as four beer glasses. One batch of ale fills two kegs, so you need both to empty the barrel. Ale that is already in a beer glass cannot be poured into a keg, but you can pour from a keg into glasses.

Players who brew ales want this keg because it holds more in less space. Four pints in one item beats four separate glasses. That saves inventory room and makes brewing runs simpler.

The Calquat keg is tradeable and can be noted. It cannot be equipped and does not stack. It weighs 0.028 kg. Its examine text reads "Sliced and hollowed out to form a keg." It was released on 11 July 2005.
