Description
The crystal tool seed is an elven crystal item in Old School RuneScape. It can be turned into a crystal axe, crystal harpoon, or crystal pickaxe. To make a tool, you need the seed, 120 crystal shards, and the matching dragon tool. The tool is made at a singing bowl. Zalcano drops this seed.
Making a crystal tool needs level 76 Crafting and 76 Smithing. Each tool gives 6,000 experience in both skills. If your levels are too low, Conwenna or Reese can sing the tool for you for an extra 60 crystal shards.
Crystal tools start with 10,000 charges. Most times you gather an item with the tool, one charge is used. You can add charges with crystal shards. Each shard adds 100 charges, up to a max of 20,000. If you take a tool apart, you get the dragon tool and the seed back, but you lose any loaded shard charges.
You can also trade the seed to Amrod in the Hefin Inn in Prifddinas for 100 crystal shards. This makes the seed useful even if you do not want a new tool right away.
