The draconic visage is a very rare item in Old School RuneScape. It drops from many high-level dragons and from Skeletal Wyverns. Legend says the Dragonkin made it as a way to channel dragonfire.

Players want the visage for one big reason. With 90 Smithing, you can combine it with an anti-dragon shield at an anvil to make a dragonfire shield. You also get 2,000 Smithing experience. The Smithing level can be boosted. If your level is too low, Oziach in Edgeville can make the shield for you. He charges 1,250,000 coins and you must have finished the Dragon Slayer I quest.

Getting a visage as a drop takes a lot of work. The King Black Dragon and Vorkath drop it at a rate of 1 in 5,000. Most other dragons, like black dragons, iron dragons, and steel dragons, drop it at 1 in 10,000. Rune dragons drop it at 1 in 8,000 and adamant dragons at 1 in 9,000. Skeletal Wyverns drop it at 1 in 10,000.
