Description
Dragon boots are melee boots in Old School RuneScape. You need level 60 Defence to wear them. They give a +4 strength bonus, which is the third highest of any boots in the game. They also have strong defence stats for the feet slot, with +16 stab, +17 slash, and +18 crush defence.
Players use dragon boots for all kinds of melee combat. Many keep wearing them even after they replace the rest of their dragon armour. The high strength bonus helps you hit harder, and the defence bonuses help keep you safe.
Dragon boots can be upgraded with a primordial crystal to make primordial boots. This needs level 60 Runecraft and Magic. The crystal is a rare drop from Cerberus. You can also add a dragon boots ornament kit for a gold trim, or a Bounty hunter ornament kit for a different look. Both changes can be undone, so you get the boots and kit back.
In the game, dragon boots drop from Spiritual mages at a rate of 1 in 128. Like most dragon items, they cannot be made with the Smithing skill. Get a pair and give your melee setup a solid boost.
