Description
Dragon keel parts are a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. They are used to build a dragon keel on a skiff. Making a dragon keel for a skiff requires level 97 Construction and uses 10 dragon keel parts plus 5 cupronickel bars.
Players can smith these parts at the dragon forge with level 94 Smithing. Each part uses 2 dragon metal sheets and gives 700 Smithing experience. Access to the forge requires completing Dragon Slayer II, and making the parts also needs the Pandemonium quest. At level 94 Smithing, 2 dragon keel parts can also be combined into large dragon keel parts, which are used for sloop keels.
Dragon keel parts are also a Treasure Trails item. Falo asks to see them when he sings about a bright red keel. Large dragon keel parts do not work for this clue.
The parts can drop from the Great white shark, Orca, Armoured kraken, Vampyre kraken, and Veiled kraken. The item is tradeable and noteable. It cannot be equipped, does not stack, and weighs 4 kg. Buying dragon keel parts saves time on smithing and lets players work on their boat right away.
