Description

Fried mushrooms are a food item in Old School RuneScape. Each one is a bowl of fried Bittercap mushrooms. When you eat them, they heal 5 Hitpoints. This makes them a cheap way to top up your health while training or exploring.

Players make fried mushrooms by cooking sliced mushrooms on a fire or a cooking range. This needs level 46 Cooking and gives 60 experience when it works. Lower level cooks may burn them, but the burn rate drops as your level goes up. At level 90 Cooking, you stop burning them for good. They can also drop from Ankous at combat levels 75, 82, 86, and 95.

Fried mushrooms are also a key cooking ingredient. Mix them with fried onions at level 57 Cooking to make mushroom and onion. Then use that at level 64 with a potato with butter to make a mushroom potato, which gives 55 experience. This makes fried mushrooms useful for players training Cooking to high levels.

Fried mushrooms are a members-only item. They are tradeable and noteable, but they do not stack. Each one weighs 0.5 kg.
