Description
The granite maul is a two-handed melee weapon in Old School RuneScape. It is a members-only item. You need 50 Attack and 50 Strength to wield it. It has a crush attack bonus of +81 and a strength bonus of +79. All of its combat styles use the crush attack type.
The maul has a special attack called Quick Smash. It uses 60% of your special attack energy and hits right away with no attack cooldown. This makes it a top pick for player killing, since you can land fast hits your target does not expect. If you add an ornate maul handle, the special attack cost drops to 50%. That version can land two or three hits very fast. The maul is also a strong choice in the Nightmare Zone with the Power surge power-up, where the special attack can be used over and over for big total damage.
Granite mauls are dropped by gargoyles in the Slayer Tower, which need 75 Slayer to kill. Marble gargoyles and the Grotesque Guardians drop it too. You can also add a granite clamp for a new look, but this makes the maul untradeable.
