Description

Hueycoatl hide is a rare drop from the Hueycoatl, a level 642 boss in Old School RuneScape. The boss drops 3 hides at a rate of about 1 in 30. Unlike other hides, this one does not need to be tanned. You can craft it straight into Hueycoatl hide armour with a thread.

The hides make four Ranged armour pieces. The vambraces need 76 Crafting and 1 hide. The coif needs 76 Crafting and 2 hides. The chaps need 77 Crafting and 2 hides. The body needs 78 Crafting and 3 hides. These Crafting levels can be boosted. Crafting gives 95 XP per hide used.

All armour pieces need 70 Ranged to wear. The body and coif also need 40 Defence. This armour has higher Magic defence and a better prayer bonus than blessed dragonhide, so most pieces are an upgrade. Any two pieces count for the "I'm your son" combat achievement. The coif and vambraces are also needed for a master clue emote step.

Hueycoatl hide is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move and sell. It also has a high alchemy value of 87,000 GP.
