Buy OSRS Iron pickaxe

Description

The iron pickaxe is a mining tool in Old School RuneScape. It mines rocks on a 7-tick cycle, which is one tick faster than the bronze pickaxe. This makes it a solid early upgrade for players who want to train Mining at a quicker pace.

You can also use the iron pickaxe as a weapon. It gives +5 Stab, +3 Crush, and +7 Strength, along with +1 Slash defence. It has four combat styles: Spike, Impale, Smash, and Block. This means you can mine and fight without switching items.

Players cannot smith an iron pickaxe. In game, it can be bought from Nurmof's Pickaxe Shop in the Dwarven Mine. It also spawns on the floor at the rock crabs north of Rellekka, and three can be found in the Digsite dungeon next to Doug Deeping.

The iron pickaxe is also used in medium Treasure Trails. One emote clue asks you to Beckon and Bow with it, and its STASH spot is at the Digsite, just south of the eastern winch. It is tradeable, equipable, and noteable, and it weighs about 2.27 kg.
