Buy OSRS Jar of darkness

Description

The Jar of darkness is a rare item in Old School RuneScape. It drops from the demon boss Skotizo at a rate of 1 in 200. It is a members-only item that players can trade. It does not stack, cannot be worn, and weighs 0.04 kg.

The main use of this jar is in your player-owned house. You can use it on a boss lair display in your Achievement Gallery. This puts a display of Skotizo in your home. To do this, you must have killed Skotizo at least once.

The jar also has a fun trick. Right-click it and pick View. The whole game screen goes black for a short moment. The chatbox says "You view the darkness."

The examine text is a joke. It says the jar smells like it has been where the sun does not shine. The drop rate used to be much lower at 1 in 2,500. Players voted to change it, and the rate was raised to 1 in 200 in November 2022. Many players collect this jar to show off a Skotizo kill and finish their boss lair display.
