Buy OSRS Jar of sand
Description
The jar of sand is a rare item in Old School RuneScape. It is a drop from the Kalphite Queen, a boss with a combat level of 333. The drop rate is 1 in 2,000, so it is very rare. It is a members-only item.
The main use for the jar of sand is in your player-owned house. You can use it on a boss lair display in your Achievement Gallery. This creates a display of the Kalphite Queen. You must have killed the Kalphite Queen at least once to set it up.
The jar also has a fun easter egg. If you use it on a jar of dirt, a sand sound plays and the contents of the two jars swap. Jagex staff confirmed this hidden feature.
The jar of sand is tradeable and noteable, but it is not stackable and cannot be worn. It weighs only 0.02 kg, so it is easy to carry. Its item ID is 12885. This jar is a great pick for players who want to show off a rare boss trophy in their home without grinding for the drop.
