Description
The Mind rune is a basic combat rune in Old School RuneScape. It powers the strike spells, which are the first attack spells a mage learns. These are Wind Strike, Water Strike, Earth Strike, and Fire Strike. The Mind rune also works with the Magic Dart spell.
Each strike spell uses one Mind rune per cast. Wind Strike needs just one air rune and one Mind rune, so it is a cheap way to train Magic at low levels. Water, Earth, and Fire Strike hit harder and give more Magic experience per cast.
Players can also craft Mind runes at level 2 Runecraft for 5.5 experience per rune. The Mind Altar sits north of Falador, between Goblin Village and Ice Mountain. There is even a hard Falador Diary task to craft 140 Mind runes at once, which needs level 56 Runecraft.
A stock of Mind runes is great for new accounts and low-level mages. It keeps early Magic training going without stops to buy or craft more. Grab a stack and start casting strike spells right away.
