Description

The Mithril kiteshield is a large metal shield in Old School RuneScape. It is the third best kiteshield you can smith. You need level 20 Defence to wield it, so it is a solid pick for players who are still training their combat skills.

This shield gives good defence in a fight. It has a stab bonus of +18, a slash bonus of +22, a crush bonus of +20, and a ranged bonus of +20. It has a small magic penalty of -1 on defence. On attack, it lowers your magic bonus by 8 and your ranged bonus by 3, so it works best for melee combat. The shield weighs 4.535 kg.

Players with 62 Smithing can make this shield too. You use three mithril bars on an anvil while carrying a hammer. Making it gives 150 Smithing experience and takes about 3 seconds.

The Mithril kiteshield is free-to-play, so every OSRS player can use it. It is tradeable on the Grand Exchange and can be noted, but it does not stack. It has been in the game since 4 January 2001.
