Description

The Pillar frag is a coral piece in Old School RuneScape. You can plant it in a coral nursery patch. These patches are found in the Coral Nurseries, just off the eastern coast of the Great Conch.

You need level 52 Farming to plant a pillar frag. It takes 160 minutes to grow. When it is done, you get a pillar coral. Pillar coral is used to make super fishing potions and super hunter potions. This makes it a solid pick for players who train Herblore or want stronger potions for skilling.

Each patch takes one frag and gives 4 or more coral when you harvest. The crop has 4 harvest lives and does not regrow. Compost does not work on coral nursery patches. As your Farming level goes up, you have a better chance to keep a harvest life while picking coral. Planting gives 52 Farming XP, and each harvest gives 60 XP. You can pay a nearby farmer 5 Elkhorn coral to protect the crop.

Pillar frags drop from many sea creatures like sharks, rays, krakens, and gryphons. Buying one saves you time so you can plant right away.
