Description

Red chinchompas are one-handed Ranged weapons in Old School RuneScape. You need level 55 Ranged to wield them. They are thrown like darts, but they explode when they hit. This lets them strike many enemies at once.

Red chinchompas can hit up to 11 targets in a 3x3 area in PvM, and up to 9 targets in PvP. They give a +70 Ranged attack bonus and a +15 Ranged strength bonus. You can pick from three fuse styles. Short fuse works best at close range, medium fuse at mid range, and long fuse at far range. Medium fuse attacks the fastest at 3 ticks.

These weapons are one of the best ways to train Ranged and Hitpoints fast. They work great against packed groups of aggressive monsters, like the Skeletons of Ape Atoll or the Maniacal monkeys in Kruk's Dungeon.

Red chinchompas are stackable and weigh nothing, so you can carry a large amount with ease. They are used up when thrown and cannot be picked up again. Buying them in bulk saves you the grind of catching them, which needs 63 Hunter and the Eagles' Peak quest.
