Description

Red dragonhide is a Crafting material in Old School RuneScape. Red dragons drop one hide every time they die. Players use these hides to train Crafting and to make red dragonhide armour.

To use a hide, you first turn it into red dragon leather. A tanner will do this for 20 coins per hide, or 45 coins in Canifis. Tanners work in Al Kharid, the Ranging Guild, Canifis, Forthos Dungeon, and the Crafting Guild. You can also use the Tan Leather lunar spell at level 78 Magic. Each cast tans 5 hides at once and gives 81 XP.

With enough leather, you can craft red dragonhide armour. For example, the red d'hide body needs level 77 Crafting and 3 leathers, and it gives 234 XP. The armour is strong Ranged gear that needs 60 Ranged to wear.

Red dragonhide is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to move in bulk. It drops from red dragons, brutal red dragons, Vorkath, Sarachnis, Artio, Callisto, and the crazy archaeologist. Buying hides saves you long hours of killing dragons, so you can train Crafting fast.
