Description
Red spiky vambraces are red dragonhide vambraces with kebbit claws attached. They work like normal red dragonhide vambraces but give an extra +2 strength bonus and a small boost to physical defence. This makes them a solid pick for rangers who want a little more melee power from their gloves slot.
You need 60 Ranged to wear them. The vambraces give +10 to ranged attack and -10 to magic. Defence bonuses are +5 stab, +4 slash, +6 crush, and +6 ranged. This is a members only item.
Players can make these vambraces by adding kebbit claws to red dragonhide vambraces. This needs 32 Crafting and gives 5.8 Crafting experience. Kebbit claws come from the Hunter skill. The vambraces can also drop from an eclectic impling after it is caught.
The item is light at under a third of a kilogram, so it will not slow you down. Red spiky vambraces first came to the game on 21 November 2006. They are a simple upgrade for any ranged setup that wants extra strength without giving up ranged attack bonus.
