Description
The Runescroll of Swampbark is a members-only item in Old School RuneScape. It is a rough scroll with faint writing on deep green parchment. Reading it teaches your character how to make swampbark armour. The scroll can only be read once, and it disintegrates after you learn from it.
Once you read the scroll, you can turn splitbark armour into swampbark armour at a Nature altar. Each piece costs nature runes to make and needs a Runecrafting level between 42 and 48. A full set uses 1,450 nature runes in total.
Swampbark armour is magic gear that needs level 50 Magic and level 50 Defence to wear. Its melee defence is close to mithril armour, and its total Magic bonus beats splitbark by 6 points. Each piece also makes your bind spells last longer. The helm, body, and legs each add 2 ticks, and the full set adds 6 ticks. That means Bind lasts 8.4 seconds, Snare lasts 13.2 seconds, and Entangle lasts 18 seconds.
This scroll normally comes from chests in the Shade Catacombs, so getting it here saves you the grind. It is tradeable and noteable, and it weighs almost nothing.
