The uncut diamond is a precious gem in Old School RuneScape. It is used to train the Crafting skill. With level 43 Crafting, you can cut it with a chisel to make a diamond. Cutting it gives 107.5 Crafting experience. Cut diamonds also matter for the Lost City quest line, which opens the way to the Zanaris marketplace.
Getting uncut diamonds in the game takes work. Players can mine them from gem rocks in Shilo Village, but this needs level 40 Mining and the Shilo Village quest. They also drop from monsters with access to the rare drop table at a low rate of 1.56%. Other sources include the gem shop in Mor Ul Rek, wall safes in the Rogues' Den at level 50 Thieving, the Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup minigame, random events, and Managing Miscellania.
The uncut diamond is tradeable and noteable. It cannot be equipped and does not stack. It weighs only 0.003 kg, so it is easy to carry. It is available to free-to-play players and is not a quest item. It is a smart pick for anyone training Crafting or working toward Lost City.
