Description

Wyvern bones are a great way to train Prayer in Old School RuneScape. These are the bones of a large flying creature. They give 72 Prayer experience when buried, but you can get much more by offering them in other ways.

At a gilded altar with two burners lit, each bone gives 252 XP. At the Ectofuntus, wyvern bonemeal gives 288 XP. The Chaos Temple in the Wilderness gives 252 XP per offering with a 50 percent chance to keep the bone, so it averages 504 XP per bone. You can also cast Sinister Offering for 216 XP, or bless the bones and break them into blessed bone shards for the libation bowl. That gives 290 XP, or 348 XP with a jug of blessed sunfire wine.

Wyvern bones drop from Skeletal, Spitting, Ancient, Taloned, and Long-tailed Wyverns. Each kill drops one bone every time. The bones are tradeable and noteable, so they are easy to move and sell. Each one weighs 0.5 kg.
