The adamant mattock is a mid-level tool for the Archaeology skill in RuneScape 3. You need level 40 Archaeology to use it. It is made for carefully uncovering and excavating artefacts at dig sites.
This mattock has 25 precision and 2 focus. That makes it a solid step up for players working through the early and middle parts of Archaeology. You can add it to your tool belt so it does not take up space in your backpack. Adding it to the tool belt also needs level 40 Archaeology.
Players with level 40 Smithing can make this mattock from two adamant bars at an anvil. It can also be bought from Matty Ock in the Archaeology Guild. It counts as a melee crush weapon in the weapon slot, but its combat stats are very low, so it works best as a skilling tool.
The adamant mattock can be disassembled for Invention materials. It can give base parts, head parts, spiked parts, heavy components, and direct components. It weighs almost nothing at 0.01 kg, so it is easy to carry to any dig site.
