Description

Ahrim's hood is a tier 70 magic helmet from the Barrows set in RuneScape 3. It once belonged to Ahrim the Blighted, one of the Barrows Brothers. To wear it, a player needs level 70 Defence and level 70 Magic.

The hood is tank armour for the head slot. It gives 297.2 armour, a 700 life points bonus, 1.4% damage reduction against monsters, and 2.625% damage reduction against players. It works well for mages who want extra defence in combat.

The hood is part of Ahrim's full set. Wearing the whole set gives the Ahrim's Blight effect. Successful magic attacks have about a 25% chance to lower the enemy's Strength by five levels, and this can happen again and again. Adding an amulet of the forsaken with a non-golden set also cuts the enemy's melee damage by 10% when the effect triggers.

Ahrim's hood degrades over 100,000 charges of combat, but it never gets weaker as it wears down. Players can repair it with certain NPCs or on an armour stand in a player-owned house. Repairs cost less with a higher Smithing level. It can also be disassembled for Magic armour components, with a special chance for Undead components.
