The Ancient robe top is a Zaros vestment in RuneScape 3. It is a members-only Magic tank armour piece that fits in the body slot. You need level 40 Magic and level 40 Defence to wear it.
At tier 40, the robe top gives 144.4 armour and a 600 life points bonus. It also adds 2 Prayer bonus, 0.8% PvM damage reduction, and 2.4% PvP damage reduction. This makes it a solid pick for mid-level mages who want extra defence and prayer help.
The robe top comes from medium reward caskets in Treasure Trails. It can also drop from the Giant Oyster, the medium Treasure turtle, and Magical Dice. The item is tradeable, so players can buy it without doing clue scrolls themselves.
You can store the robe top with the rest of the ancient robe outfit in the elite section of a treasure chest in a player-owned house costume room. For Invention, it disassembles into a guaranteed Fortunate component, with chances at Cover parts, Deflecting parts, Magic parts, Powerful components, and Protective components.
