Animal furs is an Archaeology material in RuneScape 3. It is a members only item that needs level 76 Archaeology to obtain. Its examine text calls it "Pelts of some unknown beast."

Players use animal furs to restore artefacts. These include the Aviansie dreamcoat, Beastkeeper helm, Kal-i-kra chieftain crown, Kal-i-kra warhorn, Keshik drum, Larupia trophy, Lion trophy, and She-wolf trophy. Buying animal furs saves time spent digging for them yourself.

In game, animal furs come from material caches and excavation sites like the Feldip excavation site. They also drop from hotspots and debris such as Animal trophies, Bandos's sanctum debris, Keshik ger, and Tailory debris. Higher Archaeology levels and better mattocks make digging faster, but getting a big stack can still take a long time.

Animal furs are tradeable and noteable. They can be stored in the material storage container. They can also be disassembled under the Logs and hides category. Disassembly gives Simple parts most often, with chances for Living components, Classic components, and Historic components. The junk chance is 3.8%. The item does not stack, is not equipable, and is not a quest item.
