Description

The Araxyte pheromone is a handy item for players who fight Araxxor and Araxxi in RuneScape 3. It is a rare drop from Araxxi and it does two useful things.

First, you can release the pheromone to reset the enrage counter for Araxxor and Araxxi. Enrage goes up with each kill and makes the fight hit harder. A reset takes the pressure off and makes your next kills safer.

Second, just keeping the pheromone in your inventory changes how Araxxor spawns in a public fight. He will appear in the form that is weak to your main-hand weapon style. This gives you an edge from the start of the fight. The bonus works every time you start a kill, as long as you do not release the item. Note that a main-hand necromancy weapon makes the spawn random, and instanced fights already act as if you have one.

The pheromone is only used up when you release it, so one item can boost many kills before you spend it. It is tradeable, so you can grab one without waiting on a lucky drop from Araxxi yourself.
