The Bandos helmet shard is a members-only item in RuneScape 3. It comes from General Graardor or his minions when a Bandos helmet drops while CoinShare is active. When that happens, 120 shards drop instead of the helmet. The shards are split equally among the players in the kill and go straight to their banks.
Shards have one main use. Collect 120 of them and use the combine option to make a full Bandos helmet. This makes them a handy way to work toward the helmet piece by piece.
Bandos helmet shards are tradeable and stackable, so they take up only one bank or inventory slot. Each shard weighs 0 kg. You can sell them on the Grand Exchange or trade them to other players. The Grand Exchange buy limit is 120, which matches the number needed for one helmet.
The shards cannot be equipped, alchemised, or noted, and they cannot be bought from a store. They exist only to be traded or combined. If you want a Bandos helmet without waiting for a full drop, buying shards is a simple path to get there.
