Description
The Barrel is a simple item in RuneScape 3 with some big quest uses. Players fill it with coal tar to make a barrel of coal-tar. In the Regicide quest, it is a key part of the barrel bomb needed to destroy Tyras Camp. It is also used to make a barrel of toxic naphtha in the Mourning's End Part I quest.
The barrel weighs 10 kg. It is tradeable and noteable, so it is easy to keep in your bank or pass to another player. It is not equipable and does not stack. If you disassemble it, you get Simple parts most of the time, with a small chance of Variable components. The base junk chance is 98.9%.
Barrels can also be found as item spawns in the game world. There are three spawns at Tyras Camp and one on the ground in the apple yard south of the Tree Gnome Stronghold. Having a barrel ready in your bank saves you a trip when a quest calls for one. It is a small item, but the right quest cannot move forward without it.
