Beetle bits are a food item in RuneScape 3. They are used to feed pet geckos. Both adult and baby geckos will eat them. You can get pet geckos through the Hunter and Summoning skills, so beetle bits are a handy item for players who keep these pets.

Beetle bits have another use too. You can turn them into buggy mush at a trough. Buggy mush feeds certain animals at the Anachronia Dinosaur Farm. This makes beetle bits useful for players who raise dinosaurs on their farm.

Beetle bits are tradeable and noteable, and they weigh almost nothing at 0.002 kg. That makes them easy to carry and store. In-game, they can be bought from the pet shops in Yanille or Taverley.

Players who train Invention can also disassemble beetle bits. Each one gives 0.1 disassembly XP. They have a high junk chance of 98.9%, but they can produce Simple parts most of the time and Variable components on rare occasions.
